Bue Spanish offers you the opportunity to learn about the Argentinian Culture through our culture programme. The course lasts one month and is divided into 4 units. The lessons are complemented with activities such as watching films, visiting museums and historical places.

  • First cultures. Geographic description of the area. Their history, customs, food, clothes, music, dances.

  • History: Conquest and colonization: first contact between the indigenous people and the spanish. Buenos Aires fundation. The colonial era. The revolutionary period. Unitary and federal.

  • Literature: Romanticism (Esteban Echeverría: La Cautiva / El Matadero), the Gauchesca and poetry of Payadores (José Hernández, Martín Fierro).

  • Architecture: New urban settings: the appearance of the tenement, new buildings in the city.

  • Music and dance: the origin of Tango. Representative authors and singers. The language of tango: Lunfardo.

  • Literature: Sainete Criollo. Florida and Boedo groups. Most representative writers: Jorge Luis Borges and Roberto Arlt.
